Painting with a knife is a different technique for most artists as we are too dependent on the brush. Once mastered, the palette knife effect is more vibrant than the brush stroke. It glides over the canvas smoother and faster than a brush. Large areas can be covered with just a few strokes. Detailed work can be achieved with a layering technique.
Sandy will teach how to finish this painting with just two knives. Knife techniques and colour mixing will be explained. Sandy will be painting the same image so you can clearly see in the demonstration what it is you should be doing. This is great for beginners or more advanced artists wanting to learn a new technique.
